Description
Teaching students to be responsible for their behavior and choices can be a difficult task for school counselors, teachers and parents. The concepts and lessons in this guide are based on the principles of choice theory and reality therapy and are designed to teach students how to make responsible choices through self-evaluation and proper planning. These lessons can be implemented in individual and small-group counseling sessions, classroom guidance lessons, as well as taught to teachers and parents to implement in the classroom and at home. The activities can be adapted for students in upper elementary through high school. Updated in 2019 to align with the ASCA Mindsets & Behaviors for Student Success.
